How To Register
Eligible individuals can register to vote at any time. The deadline to register in order to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election.
Deadline To Register For 2026 Primary Election: July 20, 2026
Deadline To Register For 2026 General Election: October 5, 2026
Voting
There are three ways to vote—by mail, early in person or on Election Day:
Vote By Mail
The deadline to request that a ballot be mailed is no later than 5 p.m. on the 12th day before the election. A vote-by-mail ballot must be returned and received by the Supervisor of Elections in the county of registration no later than 7:00 pm on Election Day in order to be counted.

Vote Early In Person
By law, early voting must be offered in elections with state or federal offices on the ballot. At minimum, early voting must begin on the 10th day before the election and end on the 3rd day before the election, though Supervisors of Elections may offer additional early voting days. For the 2026 Primary Election, the statewide mandatory early voting period is August 8–15. For the 2026 General Election, the statewide mandatory early voting period is October 24–31. Early voting dates, times, and locations vary by county.
In Florida’s 21st Congressional District, early voting for the 2026 General Election begins as early as October 19 in some counties. Please check your county Supervisor of Elections for exact dates, times, and locations.
