Fifty-six days from today, voters across Florida’s 21st District will choose whether we keep building on the progress we have made or turn back.
The primary is over. The mission now is clear: win the November 3 General Election and keep delivering for the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches.
People are not asking for more Washington speeches. They want to know whether their water is cleaner, their roads are safer, their paychecks stretch farther, and the promises made to veterans and seniors are being kept. That is the standard I use every day.
On water, we helped secure $2 billion to accelerate Everglades restoration. The 17,000-acre EAA Reservoir will store more than 78 billion gallons of water and deliver up to 470 billion gallons of clean water each year to the Everglades and Florida Bay. Its completion date has been moved from 2034 to 2029. That means cleaner water sooner and fewer harmful discharges threatening the St. Lucie River.
On public safety, I helped introduce Dalilah’s Law after three people were killed on Florida’s Turnpike by a commercial driver who had scored just 2 out of 12 on an English proficiency exam. The bill advanced through committee and would establish consistent national standards so commercial drivers are trained, legally authorized, and able to understand the rules of the road.
Those are not slogans. They are measurable results, and there is more work to do.
Florida’s voter registration deadline is October 5. The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is October 22. Mandatory early voting runs October 24 through October 31. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
Mark the dates. Check your registration. Talk to your family and neighbors. Make a plan to vote.
I learned in the Army that a mission is won by people who know what is at stake, prepare early, and refuse to quit. That is how I have approached every fight for our community, and it is how we will win this election.
