Two days from now, Florida will choose what comes next.
This election is not an argument about slogans. It is a decision about whether we keep building on results that families across the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches can see and measure: cleaner water, lower taxes, safer communities, and a government that remembers whom it works for.
I have spent my life believing that service means taking responsibility for the mission in front of you. You set a clear objective, you fight through the obstacles, and you do not walk away when the work gets hard. That is the standard I carried from the Army to Congress, and it is the standard I will keep bringing to this job.
CLEAN WATER RESULTS
For years, Washington treated our waterways like a place to dump somebody else’s problem. We changed that by writing the laws, securing the funding, and forcing a different approach to Lake Okeechobee operations.
The Everglades Agricultural Area Reservoir is now under construction and moving five years ahead of the old schedule, with the completion target advanced from 2034 to 2029. The project will store more than 78 billion gallons of water. We secured more than $2 billion to accelerate that work, and we delivered a record $461 million in federal Everglades funding for fiscal year 2026.
Those numbers matter because they mean more clean water moving south, fewer harmful discharges east, and a stronger future for the St. Lucie, our estuaries, local small businesses, and every family that treasures this paradise. We have made major progress. The mission is not finished until zero discharges is permanent.
HARD WORK SHOULD PAY
Families should be able to keep more of what they earn. That is why I voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts, including no tax on tips and no tax on overtime. We also expanded the Child Tax Credit to $2,200 per child and permanently protected the larger standard deduction.
These are not abstract numbers on a Washington spreadsheet. They are a server keeping more of every shift, a tradesman keeping more of a long week’s overtime, and parents getting more breathing room at the kitchen table. Government should reward work, protect opportunity, and stop treating every paycheck like an invitation to spend more.
SERVICE BEFORE SELF
This week began with the Day of the Deployed, a reminder that freedom is secured by men and women serving far from home and by families carrying the mission beside them. Our obligation to those families does not end when the deployment does. It continues through better care for veterans, real pathways to good jobs, and a country worthy of their sacrifice.
The same principle guides how I approach public safety and constituent service. When a family needs help with a federal agency, when a first responder deserves recognition, or when a dangerous gap in the law puts lives at risk, the answer cannot be another press release. The answer has to be action.
THE CHOICE IS OURS
On November 3, we decide whether to protect this progress and keep moving forward. Vote for clean water. Vote for working families. Vote for our veterans, first responders, and the rule of law. Vote for an America First agenda that puts service, accountability, and results ahead of excuses.
If you have already voted, help one more person make a plan. Call a friend. Check on a neighbor. Offer a ride. Elections are won by people who show up, and every vote matters.
