I recently joined my colleagues in the House to pass the SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act). This is common-sense legislation that requires proof of citizenship to register for federal elections. I voted YES because we cannot leave our elections vulnerable to non-citizen interference.
The House has done its job, and President Trump has made this a top priority. Yet, the bill is currently stalled in the Senate. There is no excuse for delay. If you aren’t a citizen, you shouldn’t be voting in American elections. Period.
