250 Years of Freedom

This Fourth of July, America marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

That is not just another holiday on the calendar. It is a reminder that freedom is never accidental. It was declared by patriots who risked everything. It was defended by generations of service members, law enforcement officers, first responders, farmers, builders, parents, teachers, pastors, small business owners and everyday Americans who refused to let this country drift away from its founding promise.

Here on Florida’s Treasure Coast and in the Palm Beaches, we understand that duty. We know what it means to protect what we have been blessed with. We fight for clean water because our way of life depends on it. We back the men and women in uniform because safe communities do not happen by accident. We stand with veterans because promises made to those who served must be promises kept. And we make sure voters are ready because this republic only stays strong when citizens show up.

America’s 250th birthday should be more than a celebration. It should be a recommitment.

A recommitment to the Constitution.
A recommitment to secure borders and safe streets.
A recommitment to honoring those who served.
A recommitment to protecting Florida’s water, beaches, and Everglades.
A recommitment to leaving our children a country that is freer, stronger, and more secure than the one we inherited.

One more thing: the August 18 Primary is coming fast. The deadline to register or update your party affiliation is July 20. If you have recently moved to Florida or have not checked your registration, do not wait. Check it now.

I am proud to fight for this mission every single day. But the fight only continues if patriots like you are in it with me.
