Common Sense Relief at the Pump This Summer

We’re working hard to keep our economy moving in the right direction, but I know that for families here on the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches, every cent counts, especially during the busy summer months.

To help keep costs down, I just introduced a bill in Congress to waive the EPA’s Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) rule from May 1 through September 15.

Stick with me – I know it sounds technical, but it’s simple: during the summer, federal regulations often mandate a more expensive “summer blend” of gasoline. By cutting this red tape, we can increase the fuel supply and lower prices for drivers exactly when you’re heading out on summer road trips and daily commutes.

This is a practical, common-sense win for our community. I want to make sure you keep more of your hard-earned money rather than seeing it disappear into outdated regulatory costs.
